Oud Vietnam attended “Meet Japan” conference 2023

November 2, 2023, Oud Vietnam made its mark on the international stage as it participated in the “Meet Japan” conference in Hanoi. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, commemorating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.

In his opening remarks, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son emphasized that the cooperation between Vietnam and Japan is currently at its best in history. The two nations have built profound political trust, effective cooperation in all areas, and a robust economic partnership. Japan stands as Vietnam’s leading partner in Official Development Assistance (ODA), second in labor, third in investment and tourism, and fourth in trade.

Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam, Yamada Takio, also affirmed that the Japan-Vietnam relationship has thrived in all dimensions. According to research by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Japanese enterprises aspire to expand their operations in Vietnam. Ambassador Yamada Takio expressed confidence that Japan and Vietnam will “firmly hold hands, aiming for the future and reaching out to the world.”

The “Meet Japan” conference provided an excellent platform for leaders from Vietnamese localities, Japanese representative agencies, and the Japanese business community in Vietnam to meet, exchange ideas, explore, and foster potential cooperation. The conference included specialized sessions on enhancing trade and investment, educational collaboration, workforce development, and cultural-tourism partnerships.
