On September 29, 2025, Ms. Moon, CEO of Oud Vietnam, had the honor of joining the high-level business reception hosted by VCCI (Vietnam Chamber of Commerce & Industry) for the visiting Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Ibrahim AlKhorayef, and the Saudi business delegation.
This event marks a pivotal moment in Vietnam–Saudi Arabia bilateral relations, especially in economic, trade, and investment spheres. Vietnam and Saudi Arabia established diplomatic ties in 1999, and in recent years, their trade volume has steadily hovered around $3 billion USD, with key import-export sectors including oil, petrochemicals, textiles, seafood, and electronics.
Under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the kingdom is actively diversifying its economy, boosting industrial sectors, and expanding investment commitments. Vietnam, with its dynamic private sector and growing manufacturing and export base, is emerging as a promising partner.
During the gathering, VCCI President Pham Tan Cong emphasized Vietnam’s readiness to deepen cooperation with Saudi counterparts — from streamlining legal & institutional frameworks to promoting joint investment projects, particularly in areas like minerals, industrial manufacturing, Halal-certified goods, and infrastructure.
This reception is more than symbolic; it points to actionable opportunities. Saudi business leaders expressed interest in sectors like chemicals, downstream processing, infrastructure, food processing, advanced manufacturing, and even Halal-certified export models — all of which present potential entry points for Vietnamese brands.
