OUD VIETNAM ATTENDS THE VIETNAM–UGANDA BUSINESS FORUM

On August 12 in Hanoi, OUD VIETNAM attended the Vietnam–Uganda Business Forum, held under the theme “Uganda – The Pearl of Africa.” The event brought together more than 300 representatives from government agencies, organizations, and the business communities of Vietnam and Uganda.

The Forum welcomed Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Anh Tuan, alongside senior representatives and a business delegation from Uganda. Discussions focused on opportunities to strengthen Vietnam–Uganda cooperation across key sectors, including agriculture, energy, tourism, and digital transformation.

As Africa continues to emerge as a dynamic region for economic growth, Uganda is increasingly recognized as a promising market in East Africa, creating new opportunities for business connections and cooperation between the two countries.

At the Forum, Vietnam reaffirmed its commitment to building an equal, trusted, and mutually beneficial partnership with Uganda and other African countries. Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also emphasized its commitment to supporting the business community by facilitating connections, expanding market access, and promoting effective cooperation.

The Forum marked another meaningful step in strengthening economic, trade, and business ties between Vietnam and Uganda, while contributing to broader connections between Vietnam and the East African region.
