Oud Vietnam was honored to participate in the National Halal Conference

On October 22, 2024, Oud Vietnam was honored to participate in the National Halal Conference with the theme “Fostering International Cooperation and Mobilizing Internal Resource to Develop Vietnam  Halal Industry,” held in Hanoi.

This conference marks the largest international event on Halal since the Prime Minister’s approval of the Halal Development Plan (February 2023), providing a key direction for the growth of Vietnam’s Halal sector. Vietnam has vast opportunities to build and develop the Halal industry as a significant part of its national economy, contributing effectively to the global Halal market.

The conference attracted around 600 delegates (both in-person and online) from various Vietnamese ministries, agencies, and localities, alongside several domestic corporations and businesses producing and exporting Halal products. It also welcomed representatives from Muslim organizations, Halal certification bodies in Vietnam, and Halal management authorities from other countries.

During the event, delegates discussed how to enhance domestic resources and strengthen international cooperation to develop Vietnam’s Halal industry. They included sharing experiences from countries and regional or international organizations on Halal development, exploring opportunities for cooperation with Vietnam to open new markets for Vietnamese Halal products, and discussing the potential and future development directions of Vietnam’s Halal sector. The conference also aimed to promote negotiations and agreements or memoranda of understanding between Vietnamese authorities and potential Halal partners.

In this event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the importance of the conference in fostering economic, cultural, and human connections between Vietnam and other countries through Halal products and services. Highlighting the potential of the global Halal market, the Prime Minister reiterated Vietnam’s commitment to developing its Halal industry into a strong sector, positioning Vietnam as an indispensable destination on the global Halal map and a vital link in the Halal products and services supply chain worldwide.
