On September 23, 2024, a grand ceremony was held in Hanoi to commemorate two significant milestones: the 94th National Day of Saudi Arabia (1930-2024) and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Saudi Arabia (1999-2024). The event, graced by the presence of Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang, high-ranking officials, ambassadors, and representatives from various ministries and organizations, highlighted the growing partnership between the two nations.
Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang extended her heartfelt congratulations to Saudi Arabia for its remarkable achievements across various fields. She expressed optimism for continued success as the kingdom embarks on its journey towards building a prosperous and powerful nation. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of fostering the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Saudi Arabia, which has deepened over the past 25 years.
Looking ahead, both nations are expected to further strengthen their cooperative relationships, with key areas of focus being trade, investment, tourism, green transformation, and digital innovation. In line with this vision, high-level visits between the two countries’ leaders are anticipated in the near future to explore new areas of cooperation, driving growth for both countries and their respective regions.
The Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Vietnam, Mohammed Ismaeil A. Dahlwy, reaffirmed the strong relationship between the two nations. He highlighted the similarities between Saudi Arabia and Vietnam as the foundation for continued collaboration in technology, energy, sustainable development, and people-to-people exchange.
