On 18 September 2025, the Malaysian Embassy in Viet Nam hosted a prestigious reception in Hanoi to celebrate the 68th anniversary of Malaysia’s National Day (31 August 1957 – 31 August 2025) and the 62nd anniversary of Malaysia Day (16 September 1963 – 16 September 2025). The event brought together senior officials, diplomats, and representatives from various sectors to honor this important national milestone.
Ms. Moon, CEO of Oud Vietnam, was honored to attend the celebration alongside distinguished guests.
A Celebration of Friendship and Cooperation
The ceremony took place in a formal and respectful atmosphere with distinguished attendees including Vietnamese government officials, foreign embassy representatives, and international organizations. During his remarks, Dato’ Tan Yang Thai, Ambassador of Malaysia to Viet Nam, emphasized the deep-rooted friendship and partnership between the two countries. He noted that the relationship extends beyond diplomatic protocols, reflecting mutual respect, shared trust, and common aspirations.
The ambassador highlighted the significance of 2025 as a notable year for ASEAN, with Malaysia serving as Chair of ASEAN and Viet Nam commemorating 30 years of ASEAN membership. These milestones reinforce the collaborative spirit and commitment of both nations to regional cooperation.
